Your favorite book

Hello classmates! Today I will tell you about my favorite book. It's called "Love in the Time of Cholera" by the Colombian writer Gabriel García Márquez. The story is about a woman and a man who met at an early age and who after 50 years were able to realize their love, going through different adversities. I like to read various books, but without a doubt I prefer Latin American literature. This is why Gabriel García Marquez is one of my favorite authors, since his stories reflect the characteristics of Latin American society and environment, specifically the Caribbean.

The last book I read was "La Peste" by Albert Camus, a French-Algerian writer known for his pessimistic philosophy. The story takes place in a city in Algeria, where such interesting events do not occur. But from one moment to the next, dead and sick rats start to appear. It is a pandemic. I recommend it because it has a lot to do with what is currently happening with the coronavirus pandemic and how it affects us all as a society. As a bonus, "Love in Times of Cholera" has a movie, but the book is still much more complex. Goodbye!
